Septic System To HSTP Upgrade!

Replacing A Septic System With A Household Sewage Treatment Plant?

It's a big upgrade! But just what this family in Pullenvale needed. They had noticed that the existing septic system wasn't working as well as it used to and it was probably time for an upgrade. The longer you use your septic system, the more likely it is that you will run into problems like failing absorption trenches, blockages and poor wastewater disposal. This is particularly common when your household needs change over time.

Out With The Old And In With The New!

For this project, our team travelled out to a rural property in Pullenvale. After speaking to the homeowner and assessing their existing septic system, we decided to replace it with a new Home Sewage Treatment Plant (HSTP). A HSTP is designed to treat wastewater instead of storing it in a tank, before it's dispersed through a designated absorption trench and application area.

Installing The New HSTP

When upgrading a septic system to an HSTP system, our team always consider the following:

  • The site and soil conditions and soil testing
  • How much wastewater does this household produce?
  • The land application area and whether there is enough space to manage wastewater effectively
  • Any local council requirements and documentation

Thoroughly assessing these aspects ensures that the new HSTP system is safe and actually suits the property and family's needs now and in the future.

Just another day on the tools for Michael and his team.
