HSTP Upgrade In Beerwah

Taylex HSTP Upgrade Prepares Beerwah Home for a Second Dwelling

Planning on adding a granny flat or secondary dwelling to your existing home? Before construction starts, it's important to determine whether your property's existing wastewater system is up to the job.

Tony and Dan recently completed a Taylex Home Sewage Treatment Plant (HSTP) installation in Beerwah, upgrading the property's existing septic system to support the extra demands and pressure of a second dwelling.

The Challenge

The main challenge on this job was that the existing septic system simply wasn't up to the task. Adding another dwelling or a granny flat significantly increases the amount of wastewater being produced on the property, putting strain on an outdated system. Additional bathrooms, kitchens, laundries as well as occupants all put greater demand on your wastewater treatment and disposal system.

To start building the secondary dwelling safely, the property's wastewater requirements needed to be assessed and considered as part of this job.

The Solution: A New Taylex Home Sewage Treatment Plant

After carefully assessing the Beerwah property's wastewater needs, Tony and Dan recommended replacing the current system with a Taylex HSTP. The project involved decommissioning the existing system and installing and commissioning the new HSTP.

An HSTP provides a higher level of wastewater treatment than a normal septic tank and can be a suitable solution for properties where increased wastewater loads need to be factored in. This new Taylex system was installed with the current property requirements in mind as well as any future expansion plans.

The Result: A Wastewater System Ready for the Property's Next Stage

Once the Taylex HSTP installation was completed successfully, Tony and Dan tested the new system and checked that the treatment plant and associated components were working correctly.

For the homeowners, addressing the wastewater system early in the project meant they could move forward with greater confidence, knowing their on-site wastewater requirements had been properly considered.

Great job, Tony and Dan!
